The Mull of Kintyre Half Marathon and 10k has been held on the last bank holiday Sunday of May every year since 2006.  The event has been rated highly by Runners World readers including being voted 2nd in the UK in 2009.  Other events over the weekend usually include a motivational talk by an inspirational sporting hero, a pre race pasta party and a post race ceilidh.
Entry is limited and usually closes before closing date due to popular demand so it is advised to enter early.  More information and details to enter online can be found at www.mokrun.com
Jog Scotland Campbeltown offer 10-week beginner and intermediate jogging training blocks 2-3 times per week throughout the year.  For more information contact fifi8@hotmail.co.uk

Campbeltown Running Club is a member club of the South Kintyre Sports Council.  Being a member gives the club access to advice, support and funding from the local Sports Council as well as access to facilities such as the Sports Council minibus. 
Campbeltown Running Club would like to thank South Kintyre Sports Council for the financial assistance they awarded us recently to help get the club 'up and running'.
Mid Argyll Tri and Cycle Club

The Mid Argyll Triathlon and Cycle club based in Lochgilphead and have members competing in novice, sprint, Olympic and Ironman triathlons duathlons, mountainbiking, road biking, adventure races, road and fell running races and open water swimming races.  
The club hosts the MacQueen Bros Mid Argyll Triathlon at the end of September which is a competitive event including involvement from participants based all over the country.  Participants can either enter the event as an individual or in the team category.
They also organise the Crinan Puffer race at the end of May which is an 8.5 mile race along the Crinan canal.
