The annual Balloch to Clydebank half marathon kicked off bang on time this year at Loch Lomond shores at 9am on Sunday 8th March in glorious sunshine, very different to yesterday’s rain!  However, the wind was still present and the first 5-6 miles competitors the 600 strong field had to fight against a head wind but it eased off a bit during the race, even turning to a tail wind after 10 miles which was welcomed for the final few miles.  The route is relatively flat and follows through Alexandria, Renton, Milton and Dalmuir before finishing at the Playdrome at Clydebank.

Well done to CRC competitors who took part – Elaine McGeachy 1.44, Robert Semple 1.56 and Kerry O’May 2.07 – her first half marathon!  Full results and finisher photos on
