Crinan Puffer 2015

Post date: May 2, 2015 5:11:41 PM

The Crinan Puffer took place on Sunday 26th April and it was another successful trip up to Mid Argyll for Campbeltown runners. This year the route had changed with the race starting from Crinan and finishing in Ardrishaig. Thankfully there was a tail wind for most of the way so it worked in the runners favour.

Matthew Turner took first place finishing in a time of 45:39. Eamonn Staunton finished second in 46:05 and Stuart McGeachy finished third in 46:22.

Jennifer Martin was the second senior female with a time of 57:52, Katie Ferguson was first female vet in 59:49, Susan Turner was first female Super Vet in 1:01:37 and Jackie Fulton was second female vintage in 1:09:29.

Dougie Ferguson finished as first male vet in 53:47 and Darren Renton was second male vet in 53:54. A close race between these two CRC legends and interesting to how any future races finish between them...nae pressure lads :-)

Well done to everyone who competed and a big thanks to the race organisers who once again excelled with a great event....especially the cakes afterwards!!
