Inveraray Jail Break Report

It was a lovely day for Inveraray Jail Break; a race of just under four and a half miles which starts at Inveraray Jail and continues down the main street, in to the castle grounds and up the trail to the Watch tower, Dun Na Cuaiche, where there is stunning views if you have time to look! Once you have made it to the top its a fast decent back to the finish line at the front of the castle. From Campbeltown Running Club Sarah McFadzean took third ladies place in a time of 39:44, while Margaret Sinclair came in second place in the female Vetren 50+ category in 44:30. Also running from the club was Robert Semple who finished in 40:47.

This year there was also a Junior version of the main race and a second shorter childrens race 'Kids on the Run'. From Campbeltown Running Club Juniors Cameron Campbell took first place in the Junior race with a time of 17:21, setting a new course record. Gregor Campbell completed the 'Kids on the Run' race in 12:59 taking the boys second place and in the same race Violet campbell took girls third place in 15:47. Also running from the Campbeltown Junior Running Club were Ruairidh Campbell 15:23 and Caryn Kerr 19:02.
