Jack Crawford 10K

The Jack Crawford 10K took place on Saturday 5th March with four CRC members representing the club in this race. Conditions were almost perfect for this time of year with little wind and even some unseasonal sunshine. There was a familiar face with Graham Crawford marshalling for the Springburn Harriers race event, which meant for at least 30 seconds in the race we had to try and produce good technique whilst we passed his watchful eyes....once he's out of sight then back to sunken shooders and breathing oot yer bum!

There was a strong line up this year compared the the previous year and a comfortable win for Tewodle Menigisteab of Shettleston in 30:31. From CRC perspective then the time of the day was Alix Geyer who produced another storming PB run in 55:21 (146th). Elaine McGeachy, who is currently struggling with injury, produced a strong time of 48:58 (111th).

Not to be outdone the CRC males had some 'daycent' runs with Ewan 'Super Dooker beams are going to blind you' Smith finishing in 41:53 (51st) and Stuart McGeachy 34:43 (5th place).
