Round Arran Relay 2014

The 2014 Round Arran Relay invitational took place on Saturday 19th July with CRC competing for the fourth year in a row. This year the organisers were Kelvin Runners who took over from Irvine running club, although the format remained the same with all routes starting at the same time.

The forecast thunder storms didn't materialise however heavy rain made it difficult for the runners in what is already a challenging race.

Below are details of the sections for each runner:

North Stage 1, Blackwaterfoot to Pimmill, 11.5 miles – Kenny Campbell

North Stage 2, Pimmill to Bogullie, 10.5 miles – Jennifer Reid

North Stage 3, Boguille to Brodick, 11 miles – Ralphy Hill

South Stage 1, Blackwaterfoot to Lagg Inn, 7.5 miles – Margaret Sinclair

South Stage 2, Lagg Inn to Whiting Bay, 8.5 miles – Jocelyn Richard

South Stage 3, Whiting Bay to Brodick 8.5 miles – James Murdoch

Well done to everyone who the short journey across to Arran. The team finished an impressive 9th overall out of 23 teams.
